Virtual windows guest does not shutdown on reboot

When you use a virtual windows with KVM and reboot the host, the process could take very long because windows is not shuting down. First check if you have the “Channel (qemu-ga)” in your hardware list:

You have to add it if not listed:

Second, be sure you have installed the guest drivers inside windows. The ISO is called “virtio-win-<version>.iso”.
